Ishkode Wolfe, Brujah of Prince Ujio Tanaka's Domain of New Orleans, stands before the gathering to say a few words. The sound of his clear, deep voice is enough to draw people's attention and all coversation ceases as he speaks.

Let us take a moment to remember the many fallen, who gave their lives so that we would have a home. Who made the ultimate sacrifice that Legion could be stopped, and the Garou offensive could be halted. They shall always be remembered. May their spirits rest within the peace of the caern we have raised, and their selflessness be an inspiration to us all. If you would like to say a few words about any of them, please do.

Faira Patel

Faira

Faira Patel, Verbena Mage, beloved sister of Isabelle Temple. Did her best to help the wounded, but got separated on the field of battle and lost in the darkness only to be swallowed by a thunderwyrm. We may never know why she wandered so far. - Ishkode Wolfe

*There's a brief, deep silence from Isabelle, with her face a pale marble mask, then she lifts her head and speak softly, but firmly* "My sister was an introverted personality. She rested in herself, and did not need anyone's approval to live her life in her own way. She trusted slowly, yes, and this made her seem unapproachable and distanced to some. But with those who took their time to learn her better, she was a deeply caring person; someone who could always be relied upon to help when it was needed. To her few friends, she was unshakeably loyal, and to those she loved, she was always dedicated with every inch of her being. She understood the meaning of duty, because duty to her family was always the center of her being.

Faira came to the aid of the injured, despite being untrained in combat, despite knowing the odds that we faced, because she knew that her assistance in the medical field could mean the difference between life or death for some. She had the courage, the inner fortitude, to stand on a whole different battlefield that evening, to give all that she had to ensure that our losses were not greater still. When she was most needed, she rose to the challenge. There are those among us with friends, family or kin, who are still alive because of her.

I do not know why she ran further into that unnatural darkness. None of us are likely to ever know. I have been asking 'why' ever since it happened; if I could turn back time and save her, I would ... but she would not have wanted me to. Because the Thunderwyrm would just have attacked someone else. Because she would not have wanted me to trade someone else's life for hers. *Teardrops unbidden seeps out of the Mage's eyes and begins a slow descent down her cheeks* There are many kinds of heroes. My sister lost her life, not for glory or for honor, but for others, for this city. To people she barely knew, whom she owed nothing. Nothing can belittle or diminish the charitability of spirit that represents. And that is her legacy. Let her be remembered.*Isabelle bows her head as the tears dry on her cheeks* I need a moment, please ... - Isabelle Temple

I knew her well enough to know that she cared deeply for her sister and friends. She was with me and others, healing people and then the light went out and she was gone, only to be revealed as the light came back and a giant thunderwyrm...I believe they are called, rose up and consumed her. That is not the way anyone should go and I can only hope her soul found peace after such a thing. You will be missed, Faira. I will be here for your sister should she need anything. - Cassian Narlanthi

The woman was alright though sometimes she could be a royal cunt. She could ruin parties because she wanted nothing to do with the people at them, except for some other girl she'd nestle up with, but she was genuine in her caring for her sister that sometimes was up to trouble. Even though she wasn't much of a drinker/partier, I'll drink for her when I get some shit that is better than this piss poor wine. - Fenrir

I miss her constantly giving me the evil eye for talking to her sister or for giving her some Molly at a party because she was boring as fuck. I just wanted to make her feel better and associate more with us instead of her lesbian friend, but Isabelle was none to happy about it. It might have been one of the few times it was Isabelle mad at someone instead of Faira being mad at someone for messing with her sister. We got along better later and I had so hoped to take her to another party eventually but that's been canceled early. Here's to you, Faira, wherever you are! - Hexion Czrinick

She was pretty and complicated. Simple shiny things didn't please her, nor did she like people buying her coffee, but she had a good heart. I hope, in her next life, she gets wings so that we can fly together. She'd like that because her soul seemed to be so free. - Raven Black

Fair one (Faira). Garri did not know this one well. Always grumpy. Was known to speak without thinking. But Garri respects that she came to help the injured ones in battle. This is most sad she lost her way in the darkness. Did she hear a thing we did not? One cannot say. But this may be she baited the Wyrm of Thundering away the main of defenders. This makes her a hero, yes? Fair One, Wyrmcaller. - Kegarri

Stupid girl, who the fuck wanders off in the middle of a battle like a blind possum when you've got a job to do? You died because you were helpless and stupid. However, you were there and you put your back into shit. I'll give you props for that. - Castle

Faira was slow to trust and allowed few to get close to her. I doubt any of us truly knew her, save for her sister. But the love she held for her sister was clear, and I shall remember her fierce spirit when it came to family. - Talyn Kestrel

I didn't really know the girl, but I know her sister. There will never be enough words to say just how sorry I am. - Peyton Johnston

I'm afraid I didnt know her well at all, her poor sister must be just a mess right now. I do hope she has someone there to lean on, please let me know if she doesn't, no one should be alone going through something like this. - Makayla Parker

I have no clue what possessed that girl to wander off the way she did, everybody knows if you're lost you stay put. *a soft sigh* It was an unnecesary lost and my heart goes out to her poor sister. - Kaelyn Walker

She was the first to say hello to me. I liked her and wish I had had more time to get to know her. - Charley Harper

*Silence and then a slight nod, nothing further but an unblinking stare* - Ujio Tanaka

Giovanni Niscotto

Ratboy

Giovanni Niscotto, Nosferatu. Most of you knew him best as Ratboy. Threw his Priomgen to safety and fell to tooth and claw of the attacking garou. Took the bastards with him and never gave in. - Ishkode Wolfe

He found honor in death where none was in life. - Ujio Tanaka

Giovanni Niscotto, also known as "Ratboy," was a colorful character. He sometimes annoyed others but I never found him to be too obnoxious really. Regardless what people may have thought of him, it cannot be denied that he died a true hero, ending his own life by killing the Garou that would have slain Silas as well as him. I will consider him as that hero when any should refer to him in the future. The Nosferatu lost him as well as Cero. My heart goes out to the Clan as they weep. - Cassian Narlanthi

Who the fuck is ... Oh, right. Ratboy. Well this will teach him to not tell me his real name and use such a silly side name instead. The fucker was alright though. His pet rat is going to be bloody devastated over this. Can't put down a person that would die to save someone else. He died in battle and is honored in Vahalla...or Hel or wherever vampires go when they die. If you're in a shitty place, buddy, give 'em Hell back. - Fenrir

If you have to go out, there's no better way to do it than to save your commanding officer, noble or whatever and he did this. As frustrating as some people found him, he proved he was more than just an annoying snot-nosed Italian dude that used crass language for everything. He definitely earned some respect. Peace! - Hexion Czrinick

Ratboy was an odd flightless brother. He and I didn't always understand each other, but he was part of my clan so I tied to understand him. He was a good person that didn't know how to show people he was a good person. At the end, he died so our Promo-something... Silas... could live. Choosing to die so someone else survives is a hard choice to make, but... I would have liked it if he had lived too. I am going to miss his oddness. - Raven Black

Bloodsucker Ratboy. Garri did not like this one. Tainted by Asura. Not to be trusted. But not one to back down from the hunt. Garri admires this. And to die with ferocity, saving a friend? This is most honourable, even for Asura taint. Guardian Ratboy of the Knife. - Kegarri

You were a fuck, also, you were stupid. But I'll say this, it takes a bigger pair than I've got to sacrifice yourself for the guy next to you. I still say you were a stupid fuck, but you went down like a champ. I'll drink one in your name. - Castle

Some say we never truly reveal ourselves until we face our end. When it counted, Giovanni Niscotto saw his time was up and went down fighting. Not just for himself, but to save a friend. His sacrificed shall be honored. - Talyn Kestrel

Fucktard, wait I'm supposed to say something nice right? I'll get back to you when I think of something... - Peyton Johnston

*There would be a quiet pause before answering* I know how many people viewed him, people talk and I listen quite a bit, but underneath that crusty exterior there was a good man who really was just trying to do right by his people. He was a good friend to me and he treated me like I was a long lost sister that he was determined to protect no matter what. Please, just remember before you bad mouth him again that he died a hero, giving his own life to save another member of his family. - Makayla Parker

*Dead silence* - Kaelyn Walker

He scared the crap out of me. I heard he took one out before falling. Good for him. - Charley Harper

Mercy Kessler

Mercy

Mercy Kessler, Tzimisce Ghoul of Raven. Brilliant doctor and full of promise. Fought valiantly on the battle next to her domitor on the front lines, but ultimately succumbed to the horrors of Legion. Soul protected by Mamasan.- Ishkode Wolfe

Dying in service to your domitor is a great priveledge. Living for them is both an honor to your domitor and worthy of honor from your domitor. I will remember her name. - Ujio Tanaka

Mercy was a very talented doctor and a wonderful servant to Raven of the Tzimisce. She fought so bravely on the front lines and was felled in the battle. She is a ghoul worthy of being remembered. - Cassian Narlanthi

Your name certainly did not help you, dear. By what little I know of her, she was an upcoming brilliant star that was snipped out of life prematurely. A sad loss for Raven, no doubt. My condolences. - Hexion Czrinick

Mercy? This was another slave to leeches? Garri did not know this one. Brave. Ferocious. Honour in fighting side by each. It is sad not to have known one of such spirit. May she be rested in the cleansing. Mercy, Who Shows None - Kegarri

A doctor, fighting on the front lines...You fuckin died being in the wrong place, your domitor is an idiot for having you there, your bond of blood led you to the slaughter, I'll hope that in death you find some peace that you created on your own. - Castle

Mercy Kessler died in service. Do not diminish her sacrifice with pity. I have no doubts she would choose the same given the chance to relive that night. - Talyn Kestrel

Who? - Peyton Johnston

I met her a time or two, she was so desperatley trying to just find a way to fit in. I'm sorry to see that she'll never get the chance to live up to her full potential. - Makayla Parker

I'm a little shocked at the manner of her death, but she died by her domitor's side, there must have been some comfort in that. - Kaelyn Walker

Cero

Cero

Cero, Nosferatu Ghoul, beloved husband to Lawrence Berry. Selflessly gave himself to protect the man he loved and cherished beyond all else.- Ishkode Wolfe

He reminded me of someone I respected. May his memory hold as much respect as his life. - Ujio Tanaka

Cero was a beautiful man and husband to Lawrence Berry. What a tragedy, to lose his husband. I can only imagine the pain you must feel with this loss, Lawrence. If there is anything I can do, I am here. There is no greater sacrifice than losing who you love more than life itself. - Cassian Narlanthi

I didn't know this guy but I do know of Lawrence and finding out he was married and just lost the most important person to him... that sucks big time. He died because you were his everything though, so I hope that brings you any comfort at all. Probably not so I'm going to stop right here but know he won't be forgotten, even if I didn't really get the chance to know him. - Fenrir

Lawrence Berry is one of the most beautiful and fascinating people I know. I did not really know of his husband but I had heard of him. A tremendous loss that shows exactly why after the battle all was so silent. We were breathing but it was so hard. - Hexion Czrinick

Zero (Cero). Yes. Garri saw this one at the place of speaking easy many times. Much full of life. Always with the smiles. To face such odds without fear, to save a one who is loved. Most sadness this one shared the fate of the dogs. Zero, Shield of Love. - Kegarri

Gay as fuck, but people seemed to like you, that's more than I can say for most people. Teach the fuckers in the afterlife how to accessorize, those white robes are a drag. - Castle

Cero willingly gave himself to protect Lawrence. Honour that by honoring his memory. I will personally miss him, as will the many lives he has touched. The world is a little darker, and a little more quiet. So let us all take inspiration from Cero, and try to make each day a little brighter, by finding the most gaudy thing you can find and surprise gifting it to a friend. - Talyn Kestrel

Oh man, I only met Cero a couple of times, but he was a force of nature. Someone I'm pleased to say I had the chance to meet. Lawrence your husband was a good man that Iknow loved you deeply. Please, if you need anything at all, call me. I know, at least a little, some of the pain you're going through right now. - Peyton Johnston

I only met him the once, but he seemed so vibrant and fully of a true lust for life. I can't even imagine what his poor husband is going through right now. Cero will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. - Makayla Parker

I didn't really know him, but he died protecting the man he loved, I can only imagine how deeply he and Lawrence must have cared for each other. - Kaelyn Walker

Mike Harper

Mike Harper

Mike Harper, Kinain, beloved boyfriend of Rayne Smith. Boldly stepped up to the sphere of Oblivion left behind by Legion and with his powers, contained the mass from spreading. Not without a cost, his life was claimed by Oblivion as it collapsed in on itself.
Rayne Smith, Mage, beloved girlfriend of Mike Harper. Stood with her lover and used her powers to pull the sphere of Oblivion in on itself. As with Mike, she was too close and she too was claimed as the Oblivion sphere collapsed.
- Ishkode Wolfe

I knew neither of you as well as I would have liked to. The bravery exhibited by these two people is the stuff of legends. Thank you for your sacrifice so that others could go on. My condolences to those who did know these two wonderful people. - Cassian Narlanthi

I didn't know either of these two but I will say that what they did is fucking amazing and probably saved at least most of us out there. What they did won't leave my memory. - Fenrir

The most bedazzling and yet horrifying thing I have seen in some time. The sacrifice these two did was epic and should be written into a tale of love and peril. Lovers that lived, adored and died together to stop a horrid tragedy from befalling us all. So full of despair and yet so romantic. - Hexion Czrinick

Mike and the Rain (Rayne). Garri did not know these ones either. And, Garri did not have a chance to see that which they did. But Garri knows what came of their sacrifice most honourable. These ones need be remembered, for we all owe them much. The did what we could not. They did without waiting to act. They did knowing they would not walk away. This takes much courage and heart. The Love Who Brought Back the Light. - Kegarri

Mike Harper: Meh. Good pics.
Rayne Smith: She makes a mean ass kid, I'll make sure her boy knows his mom was more than the rumors might say.
- Castle

[Mike Harper] *Silence and a slight wave of a hand*
[Rayne Smith] In life she understood service without the bond of blood, she understood the pain of honor and the duty of sacrifice. Her name will not be forgotten.
- Ujio Tanaka

I never knew Mike, and I'm not sure many of us did. Which makes his sacrifice all the more remarkable. If anyone has stories of this man, I wish to hear them.
Rayne... She surprised me. Though her love for Mike was obvious to us all.
- Talyn Kestrel

Mike Harper: I think Imet the dude once, seemed like an ok kinda guy.
Rayne Smith: I'm afraid this is yet another person I didn't know, but the way she and her man went out is the stuff of legend and if I can find a way to immortalize it in the written word I will.
- Peyton Johnston

Mike Harper: I'm afraid I didn't really know him or his girlfriend, I can only hope they found peace in each other at the end.
Rayne Smith: Again I didn't really know her, but clearly the love between the two was strong.
- Makayla Parker

I'm sorry, I saw them but I didn't know them. There was clearly a lot of love between the two of them. They bought us some precious time with their sacrafice and I won't forget it. - Kaelyn Walker

Typpid Polis

Typpid Polis

Typpid Polis, Physical Manifestation of the Speakeasy. Guardian and protector of the Accords. Gave all of himself to the forming of the Ahadi, that Daniel's life would be spared.- Ishkode Wolfe

Tippy (Typpid)... Garri worked for this one. His Guardian of Speaking Easy. This one has been there to guide many of us to teaching light. Protecting us from ourselves and those who would harm. In the end he gave all for us. Garri will remember this one always. Tippy, Heartshield Fox. - Kegarri

*He blinks once at the name and says nothing only to turn to the direction of the bar and the offices Typpid kept and then bows at the waist, lower than he has been seen to bow to another in public, he holds the bow for approximately a full minute and then stands only to walk away without a word.* - Ujio Tanaka

A being of great mystery and a defender of the Accords to the end. Typpid may have called himself a monster, but he was definitely more than that. I do not think the Ahadi would have been formed were it not for him. - Cassian Narlanthi

Typpid was kind of cool. He never wronged me and even helped me deal with a situation way above my station at the time. Going to miss having him around and the Speakeasy obviously literally isn't the same without him. - Fenrir

This was a surprise to me. He did quite a bit for every faction that was represented at the Speakeasy. He should be remembered. - Hexion Czrinick

He was very nice, as far as walls go. We talked sometimes, but it was never something I really got used to until I saw him with a face and a body. HE was the strangest shifter I'd ever seen... I -think- he was a shifter? Well, he was a good man and I am sorry I won't get to learn more about him. - Raven Black

You were a major pain in my ass, I legit developed fish fighting just so you'd stop fucking with me. I'll miss you, jackass. - Castle

Typpid... Honour. Duty. Noble Purpose. Friend and teacher. He was what we needed when we needed him. Now we must have the courage to carry on his legacy. - Talyn Kestrel

His loss will be keenley felt amongst everybody who frequented the Speakeasy. The community itself just won't be the same without him. - Peyton Johnston

I did not know him really, but I do know that our community will never be the same without him. - Makayla Parker

I never have the pleasure of meeting him personaly, but it's clear he was well loved, not just for what he did for our community, but for the man he was. I'll forever regret not getting to know him. - Kaelyn Walker

[Other Mentions]

Charley Harper: As to the rest, I didn't know them. Unfortunate to lose folks, even for a good cause. I hope they all rest peacefully in their final destination.

Jacob: I am dreadfully sorry to say that I did not know the deceased very well, any of them - A matter for which I am morose to face. That such good and brave souls would have given their lives to save so many, but yet remain unknown to those people is truly tragic. I have heard many things by which you may judge a man or a woman, but I do not feel that such generalisations warrant an ounce of merit in regards to our fallen. True, you could look to legacies, actions, birth, and stature - but none of these things are a true measure or worth or value. This measure comes from the most sacred places of all - the heart and our treasured memories. I urge all who were not blessed to know these people in life, to speak to those who held them dear. Hear their stories and their memories. Learn -who- died for us as they were seen by their friends and family and then mourn them as part of your own. Their sacrifice was the ultimate gift to those they loved, they deserve to be honoured as such.

Isabelle Temple: Too distraught over the loss of her sister to continue.

Ricardo: *Too drunk and passed out to answer.*
